Tending Fields is based on the true story of ”Miss Landmine” the extraordinary and controversial beauty contest, held in Angola for the first time in 2008. I read about the contest, collected information from the web-site, and made a quite odd (but still beautiful, if I may say so) ”tribute to the woman”, to be sung by a whole bunch of men. The piece was commissioned by famous male choir OD and premiered in spring 2009. he piece was performed again October 18 2013 at noon, Studio 2 (Swedish Radio)
